Emergency AMS-IX maintenance

Dear Customer,

AMS-IX has just announced some emergency maintenance, which will take place this night. Their photonic cross connect became unresponsive and will be rebooted or replaced. One of our AMS-IX connections is patched via this photonic switch. During this maintenance window, this connection may be down for 30-60 minutes. We expect no loss of service as we will re-route all AMS-IX traffic to our secondary link, however there may be negligible packet loss or increased delay during path switching and optimisation.

The timezone is CEST (GMT+2).

Internet en telefonie functioneren naar behoren. Blackbuildingtest DCG 18 mei 2010

De blackbuildingtest is met succes uitgevoerd.

Op bovenvermelde datum zal in ons datacenter DCG de maandelijkse blackbuilding test worden uitgevoerd. Tijdens deze test vindt geen onderbreking van de stroomvoorziening plaats.
 
Tijdens de maandelijkse blackbuilding test wordt de netspanning uitgeschakeld en wordt zodoende het noodstroombedrijf getest. De test zal starten omstreeks 12.00 waarna enkele uren […]

Storing aan aggregaten BIT-2B

Bij het uitvoeren van de maandelijkse test van de noodstroomvoorziening in BIT-2B is gebleken dat de noodstroomaggregaten niet belast willen draaien, er wordt direct teruggeschakeld naar de netspanning. Herhaalde tests leverden hetzelfde resultaat op.

Er is contact opgenomen met de leverancier van de aggregaten, deze komt met spoed om de noodstroomvoorziening te onderzoeken.

Wij kunnen op dit moment niet met zekerheid zeggen of bij het wegvallen van de netspanning de aggregaten goed op zullen starten.

De noodstroomvoorziening van BIT-2A is onafhankelijk van BIT-2B en ondervindt dus geen hinder van deze storing.
