Our European Data Center, located in a major city in the Netherlands, gives Go Daddy nine data centers located throughout the US and Europe. The total square footage of our combined facilities can expand up to more than 150,000 square feet.

Our European Data Center is currently a colocation facility, but we are continuously reviewing our locations to make sure we are getting the most efficient use of our space. As part of our ongoing efforts to expand, we do and will consider purchasing our own buildings outright.

Informational message: Connectivity Issues

The connectivity issues experienced today have been resolved. We would like to share some details about today’s event. Some users’ connectivity to Amazon EC2 was affected by issues outside of the Amazon EC2 network. Amazon EC2 peers with multiple Internet providers to provide resilient connectivity to the Internet. When we became aware of today’s connectivity issues, we adjusted our Internet routing preferences to our transit providers to provide reliable connectivity to as much of the Internet as possible. Unfortunately, there was a routing error between two other large Internet providers. For some users on those networks, this caused connectivity issues between them and parts of the Internet including Amazon EC2. We worked with those providers to resolve the routing issue. All connectivity was fully restored by 2:20 PM PDT. We have been monitoring network connectivity and are confident that the issue has been appropriately remediated since that time.
