During this maintenance window we will upgrade the software on our high volume routers at Evoswitch in Haarlem. The maintenance will take place between 6:00 and 7:00 CET (UTC+1) on the 17th of July 2011. You may see up to 15-20 minutes downtime.



Within the same maintenance window we will also upgrade the software of our peering router in Frankfurt, Germany. There should be no serious impact, however it is possible you may notice temporarily higher latency or small packet loss when traffic is shifted towards alternate paths.

At the moment we are experiencing connectivity degradation around the globe.



Probably these issues are caused by router software crashes with several carriers. Our own network equipment is not affected.

We will perform a software upgrade on one (1) standard (primary) HSRP router in the Schuberg Philis datacenter. Since we use HSRP to provide redundancy on the standard network there is no impact, however during the swap from standby to active you can notice some packet-loss. If you have a private rack please make sure that redundancy is working correctly.

We will perform a software upgrade on one of the core routers in the LOFT (HDCS) datacenter in Manassas. Since we use a redundant setup you will not notice this, however during the swap-over to the other core router you can notice some packet-loss.

The maintenance will take place on the third(3) of November between 12:00 CEST, 6:00 AM EDT (Manassas, Virginia) and 12:30 CEST, 6:30 AM EDT (Manassas, Virginia) time.
