[NL, AMS-01] Backbone capacity degraded [Update]

Time: March 18, 2014 00:55:00 (CET)
Dear Customer,

We experienced impact due to unexpected behavior on our DWDM/wave equipment between 00:55 and 01:15 CET. During a fail-over we lost backbone capacity within the AMS01 data-center. This was mostly used for high volume, but also for some premium traffic.

During the impact there could have been packet-loss and/or higher latency to/from specific networks. At the moment connectivity is restored. If you encounter any further issues and/or you have questions, please contact us via [email protected].

Update at 01:32
Due to the darkfiber maintenance, which was not suppose to harm any of our connections didn't only affect our fibers, but also the fibers of our upstreams. Currently we are having issues with getting traffic to Telecom Italia which is resulting in packet loss. At this moment we are routing traffic to other carriers to have good connectivity during this fiber maintenance.
