All linux-based web- and databaseservers need to be updated.The mysql servers need a reboot after updating, during that time websites that rely on databases will display an error.
We expect a downtime of approximately 30 minutes.

While applying the other updates the control panel and/or email
services might appear unresponsive.

[UPDATE 12:45] The blade has been replaced and all ports are back online, due to our redundant setup there was almost no impact.

During this maintenance window we will switch over our DWDM system between Evoswitch and Telecity-2 to the backup fiber path. All circuits should stay up duting the swap, however it could be that links flap.
When that occurs there will be a short period of higher latency / packetloss while alternate paths converge.

After applying the latest updates this morning on our Windows Shared Webhosting, the server performance was lowered.
Upon searching for the cause we identified a broken memory module in the server. This is the most probable cause of the slow performance since this morning.

This module will be replaced a.s.a.p.

Tuesday morning we will perform maintenance on our Windows platforms. This maintenance will bring all Windows based platforms up to date.
It also applies the most recent security fixes for the Operating System.
