Global Crossing maintenance

Our carrier Global Crossing announced a maintenance on some of our uplinks with them.

During this maintenance customers may experience temporarily higher latency on some paths.

We don’t expect any downtime as our core routers will reroute traffic towards our other carriers.

AMS-IX telecity port instability [Update]

AMS-IX NOC has told is there is a possible hardware issue on the switch we are connected to. AMS-IX has contacted the switch vendors support. We should not experience any issues anymore as we have enough capacity on our other links.

nikhef power outage [Update]

We have received notification that our routers at nikhef location have lost one of their power feeds.

All routers have dual power supplies and power feeds.

However there might be complications when the DC engineers resolve this issue.

We are doing our utmost to solve this issue a.s.a.p.
As soon as we have more information available, we will publish it here.

Engineer is onsite and investigating.

The engineer has found the cause and has restored power to both feeds. We still need to replace one faulty power supply. The engineer will pick this up now at our office and go back to replace it. No impact to customers is expected.

All redundancy is restored.

Ring3 migration

Due to a ring migration we need to announce the following maintenance window.

No network problems are expected, traffic will be rerouted to other links, however during switching the network paths there may be a temporary increase of RTT or some smaller delays.
