emergency GlobalCrossing maintenance complete [Update]

Startdate: July 20th 2009 08:00:00(CEST)
Enddate: July 20th 2009 09:30:00(CEST)

Dear Customer,

One of our transit carriers, GlobalCrossing, will migrate several 10GE connections from dark fiber to an optical switching platform.
After the migration these links will be protected in case of a fibercut.

The links will be brought down one by and and turned up on the new platform.

During these steps customers might notice higher latency on paths across the GlobalCrossing network.

An engineer is nearly on site.
We have copied a new IOS image on the router remotely, and will reboot the router.

[UPDATE 01:54]
At around 01:30 we rebooted the router with a new IOS version.
This did not solve the issue.
We sent the engineer that was nearly on site to drive to evoswitch to get spare parts..
He is currently on his way back to TC2

[UPDATE 03:34]
We are working on the issue, however some (new) linecards need firmware upgrades.

All services have been restored.
