Telecity 2 colo network issues [Update]

[update 01:05]
An engineer is nearly on site.
We have copied a new IOS image on the router remotely, and will reboot the router.

[UPDATE 01:54]
At around 01:30 we rebooted the router with a new IOS version.
This did not solve the issue.
We sent the engineer that was nearly on site to drive to evoswitch to get spare parts..
He is currently on his way back to TC2

[UPDATE 03:34]
We are working on the issue, however some (new) linecards need firmware upgrades.

All services have been restored.

The ports to the AMS-IX switches came up after 7 minutes downtime.
We are investigating the cause.
The AMS-IX NOC has also been contacted, they are investigating their side.

DESCRIPTION:

The photonic switch pxc-tel-115 rebooted, thereby dropping all its connections.

DETAILS:

During this service interruption there was maintenance work going on in the suite where this PXC is located. Work on the power feed for other devices may have triggered this outage.

ACTIONS:

Once the PXC was active again, the AMS-IX NOC restored connectivity for the affected members.

We are investigating the cause of the reboot.

AFFECTED:

The following members saw an outage of 8 minutes on their 10GE connection:

Onderhoud glasvezel tussen BIT-1 en Telecity-2

Onderhoud glasvezel
In de ochtend van 20 maart 2009 zal Level(3) werkzaamheden uitvoeren
aan de glasvezel verbinding tussen BIT-1 en Telecity-2 in Amsterdam. Dit
onderhoud zal plaatsvinden tussen 0.00 en 6.00 uur. Gedurende dit
onderhouds window zal de verbinding minimaal éénmaal maar mogelijk ook
vaker onderbroken worden. De duur van deze onderbreking(en) is echter
onbekend. Verkeer zal automatisch over andere paden geleid worden.
Klanten met unprotected vlans of wavelengths tussen deze twee lokaties
zullen echter wel hinder ondervinden van deze werkzaamheden.

AMS-IX Telecity router migration [Update]

During this maintenance window we will migrate the current connections we have with AMS-IX at Telecity to the new CRS-1 router.

The peering traffic will be rerouted to out AMS-IX router at Evoswitch.
