Peering connections maintenance [Update]

Dear Customer,

Our provider announced a maintenance of their Amsterdam infrastructure acting as a hub for some of our links to European internet exchanges. [UPDATE, see below] During the maintenance window our connections to the mentioned below internet exchanges may be down. The traffic will be safely rerouted to our transits and other exchanges which will stay up all the time.

The exchanges NOT affected by the maintenance:
– AMS-IX in Amsterdam
– DE-CIX in Frankfurt
– LINX in London
– BNIX in Brussels
– Netnod in Stockholm
– NIX1 in Oslo
– DIX in Copenhagen

The exchanges affected by the maintenance:
– PLIX in Warsaw
– NIX in Prague
– BIX in Budapest
– Espanix in Madrid
– NYIIX in New York
– SIX in Bratislava
– SwissIX in Zurich
– VIX in Vienna
– FranceIX in Paris
– MIX in Milan
– Interlan in Bucarest

Our network performance should not be affected by the traffic rerouting, however there is a possibility of suboptimal network paths with temporary higher delay or lower transfer than usually.

Please mind the timezone change during the maintenance!

The router is back online since 02:14
One module is still issueing error messages, an engineer will replace it soon.

[update 02:55]
Module in slot1 was newly inserted yesterday. We suspect this module to have caused the crash. It has been removed, and will undergo full tests in our lab.
The router is stable for now.

core router crs-evo problems. [Update]

[update 22:38]
The router experienced several problems, and issued a redundancy failover to the backup route processor. The failover caused all BGP sessions to flap. Traffic flow has been restored on the router ahter the failover.
Error messages indicate Cisco support is required. We have opened a TAC case with Cisco.

Core router reload

Cisco has supplied a couple of patches for our core routers.
During this maintenance we will apply these patches to our core router at Evoswitch.

The updates entail three reloads of the router.
During the maintenance window all traffic will be rerouted through our other core router at Telecity-2.

[20100315] Telia maintenance

Dear customer,

Our carrier Telia announced a maintenance and scheduled a software update on one of their routers.

During the maintenance the networks paths (mostly incoming to our network) via Telia may change, but no impact is expected as we will reroute traffic to other links.

Within the maintenance window network paths may change for all IPv4 and IPv6 addresses used and announced by Leaseweb.

The timezone is CET (GMT+1).
