[NL] DDoS attack on shared Linux webhosting [Update]

Dear LeaseWeb customer,

At this moment our Linux shared webhosting platform in the Netherlands is the target of a large DDoS attack. Websites hosted on IP 95.211.13.68 are currently slow or unavailable. We are doing everything we can to mitigate the attack.

We will update this message when we have more information.

The attack has stopped and services have restored.

The attack started again. The websites might be unavailable or will be loading slow. We are doing our utmost best to mitigate the attack.

[UPDATE 2014-09-04@10:12]

The attack ended this morning around 06:00 and services are restored.

[Global] Connectivity Issues

Currently we are experiencing packet loss and/or higher latency to/from specific networks due to a major fiber cut between NL and US. Many transatlantic connections which are taking this route are affected. We expect that the issue will have been resolved in the next few hours.

[NL, AMS-01] SAN/NAS storage issues

Our shared storage infrastructure has encountered a major issue in both controller heads.
if you are using this part of our infrastructure, you might encounter issues with your virtual machines or datastores.
The platform should now be available again but is closely monitored for any anomalies.

The event seems to be caused by a software issue. We have upgraded the software and are actively monitoring the router to analyze it further.

We are currently experiencing connectivity issues in part of our network in FRA-10. This is currently being investigated.

An update will follow as soon as more information is at hand.

Update at 12:00
No specific update can yet be posted. The network issue is still being troubleshooted.

Update at 13:00
The cause of the problems is still being investigated. We have isolated the network degradation to be on some of our high volume routers in FRA-10 (Germany) as well as AMS-01 (Netherlands)

Please note that our core routers in Frankfurt will have to be reloaded. Due to redundancy, no connectivity interruption will have to be expected. You may however experience brief packet loss and/or high latency.

The core routers in Frankfurt have successfully been rebooted and we expect traffic to be back to normal. We will be performing additional checkups. If you still experience connectivity issues, please contact us under [email protected]
