[DE, FRA-10] Connectivity issues in part of our network

You may have experienced connectivity issues in our FRA-10 datacenter between 01:05 CEST and 01:37 CEST. This was caused by faulty flapping waves from one of our providers.

Action has been taken to mitigate this and all services are now restored. If you experience otherwise at this time, please contact our Support department ([email protected]).

[Global] Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities [Update]

Dear LeaseWeb customer,

Leaseweb is aware of and currently tracking the recently disclosed “speculative execution” vulnerabilities, Spectre and Meltdown, that are present on most modern computer processors.

We support customer solutions across numerous platforms that leverage a variety of types of hardware. We are currently assessing all of our infrastructure and customer-related environments and will take all necessary actions to mitigate these vulnerabilities at the earliest opportunity.

If you manage your own operating system, we suggest that you check your patch levels and upgrade if needed. Please be aware that the patch will require a reboot to be implemented.

[HKG-10, SG] Connectivity issues in part of our network

We experienced network connectivity issues in our HKG-10 data center, as we received a high amount of traffic on our carrier up-links which caused congestion on our network.

You might have experienced packet loss or higher latency towards your services at HKG-10 between 15:10 – 15:25 CET.

We have mitigated the large amount of incoming traffic and our network is stable again.

Our engineers have identified the cause to be related with one of our carriers.

Our engineers have identified the root cause of the problem to be a misconfiguration within our backbone network. This has been rectified and currently no further impact should be observed.

[NL, DE] Connectivity issues in part of our network

Earlier today, between 00:01 and 00:05 CET, you might have observed connectivity issues to your services for a brief period.

This was due to an unannounced maintenance by one of our service providers, which affected part of our backbone capacity between NL and DE.
Traffic transiting the link was impacted.

[NL] Intermitted IO issues on our Cloudstack and VMware vCloud private cloud platforms

We have experienced an increase in IO latency on our Cloudstack private cloud and our VMware vCloud platform.

This issue has since been mitigated. The issue started around 14:35 CET and was mitigated around 15:08 CET.

We are currently experiencing issues in our SFO-12 data center. The root cause has been traced to the connection between us and one of our carriers. We are working closely with our provider to solve this. For the duration of this issue, you might experience intermittent packet loss or higher than normal latency to certain destinations. Currently no further impact is observed, we are monitoring the situation.
