[20120717] EvoSwitch high volume router maintenance [POSTPONED] [Update] [Emergency]

Dear Customer,

As part of our commitment to continually improve the level of service you receive from LeaseWeb we are undertaking this maintenance.

During this maintenance we will upgrade the software on one of our high volume core routers in EvoSwitch. We will also replace a suspected linecard as advised by our vendor. We've experienced issues before when doing this upgrade, therefore we have planned a maintenance window of 3 hours. During this maintenance we have our vendor standby to assist us.

[20120716 4:00 PM] Due to the issues we have experienced today on the high volume core platform, we are forced to postpone this maintenance. An emergency maintenance will be planned within the same timeframe to upgrade the software version of the router which caused the issues we had today.

We have rescheduled this maintenance to Jul the 31st 2-12 5:00-8:00 CEST (UTC+2). This is now also an emergency maintenance.

[Wuppertal]Leaseweb Germany network issue [Update]

At the moment we experience problems in (part of) our network. We are currently investigating and taking appropriate steps.

Update @ 17:22
We are stabilizing the issue. Currently there is still an outage. Please stand by for updates.

Update @ 18:19
There are still issues and we are looking in to this. Updates will follow.

Update @ 19:00
The cause have been found and currently we are enabling all interfaces.

Update @ 19:40
80% of all customers are back online again, we are currently enabling the latest interfaces.

Update @ 21:00
There were still issues with one router. This router have been reloaded and all seems to be fine now. The last vlans are being enabled. Please stand by for updates.

Update @ 21:30
There are again issues after enabling the last VLAN interfaces. We will continue trouble-shooting and update here.

Update @ 22:20
Currently 2/3rd of the capacity of the router is back online. This is rebuilding and stabilizing. We are monitoring this and once stable we will add the remaining to the router.

Update @ 23:15
Issues are still ongoing and monitored, however most is up now. We are still continuing with the rest though

All connections are back online server should be reachable again. The issues is fixed therefore. If you encounter issues, please contact us on [email protected]

Final update
An in depth investigation will be done to recover the cause of this outage. This can be requested if needed once available.

EvoSwitch High Volume Router hardware&software upgrade [Update]

Emergency maintenance of Frankfurt peering router [Update]

Dear Customer,

Due to several issues we observed today with our peering router in Frankfurt we decided to perform an emergency maintenance. We will upgrade the software of this router.

The maintenance will take place on July the 24th 2012 between 05:30 and 06:30 CEST (UTC+2). During the maintenance window you may notice network paths and latency changes as well as short reachability problems between our datacenters in Germany and the Netherlands.

[UPDATE 6:11] The maintenance has been completed successfully, and all issues have been solved.
